James Island Presbyterian Foundation
2009-2010
The James Island Presbyterian Foundation (JIPF) offers an after school program for children in K-5 to 5th grade. Please note this information refers only to after school care. Separate information is available regarding our child-care center or summer day camp program.
Children are transported to our facility either by fifteen (15) or thirty (30) passenger buses operated by the JIPF.
The typical after school program schedule for elementary school students is as follows:

Circle Time, Announcements, Snacks, Outdoors |
| 3:30 – 5:00 PM |

| 5:00 – 6:00 PM |

The cost for the after school program for elementary school students is as follows:
| Category |

| 1st Child |
$60.00 week |
| 2nd Child |
$40.00 week |
| Family Annual |
$75.00 Registration Fee |
Please note that these program fees have not increased since the 2006-2007 school year.
Extended child care service is also available from 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM on days when the Charleston County School District is closed for teacher in-service, workdays, & holidays.
The weekly fee listed above is for a full week (5 days) of after school program care & transportation. This amount is payable every week during the school year with the exception of days or weeks the Charleston County School District is closed due to in-service days, workdays or holidays. We do not provide “drop-in” or “occasional” child-care service. School closings will result in a proportional reduction for each day the public schools are closed and your child does not attend our after school program. Fee adjustments may also be made if the schools are closed for extended holiday periods, teacher in-service/work days, etc. and your child does (or does not) attend the extended day care program/holiday day camp program we provide.
Please note our after school program closes promptly at 6:00 PM. Parents/guardians who pick-up their child (ren) after the regular closing time will be charged a late fee of $1.00 per minute.
The James Island Presbyterian Foundation operates a number of community service ministries including Closet Treasures Thrift Store (Folly Road Shopping Center), migrant services (John’s Island), Lowcountry Pastoral Counseling Centers (West Ashley, Daniel Island, James Island, Mt. Pleasant), summer day camps, pre-school and child-care center, the Mission House, Seeds of Hope farmer’s market and the after school program.
Receipts and expenditures for all these ministries are handled through a central accounting system. It is possible that the individual(s) recording your payments will not have information about your child or your program situation. It is important, therefore, to please list on the “memo” portion of your check the name of your child and the initials “ASP”. This will help in accurately crediting your payment to your account. Questions regarding your account should be directed to the JIPF office, 795-3137.
Payment for after school care is expected on the first day of the program week (usually Mondays). After school care will be discontinued for families whose accounts are more than two weeks behind in payments.
Thank you for your attention to these payment expectations.
