The James Island Presbyterian Foundation sponsors a fun-filled, action packed summer day camp for children ages 6-11 (rising grades 1-5) during June 5 – August 15, 2017.
Campers may enroll in one (1) week-long session or as many of the eleven (11) available sessions as desired. Part-time enrollment is not available.
Sessions operate Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Early morning (7:00 – 9:00 AM) and late afternoon (4:00 – 6:00 PM) child care is available at no additional cost.
In addition to the on-campus activities, campers will go on several field trips each week being transported by our fifteen (15) or thirty (30) passenger buses. Field trip destinations throughout the summer include bowling, ice and roller skating, kayaking, water parks, movies, county and municipal parks, historic sites, etc.
The safety of our campers is a key priority of our program. During all activities, attention is focused on supervising the campers and insuring a safe recreational or instructional environment. A roster of campers is prepared and reviewed during every field trip. Life jackets and safety instructions are a part of every kayak outing. First aid kits are housed in all of our vehicles, in our gymnasium and are taken on every field trip. Our staff members are seasoned summer day camp counselors with CPR and First Aid certification.
