The James Island Presbyterian Foundation sponsors two (2) fun-filled, action packed summer day camps for children ages 6-10 (rising grades 1-5) and ages 11-13 (rising grades 6-7) during June 7 – August 13, 2010.

Campers may enroll in one (1) week long session or as many of the ten (10) available sessions as desired.

Sessions operate Monday – Friday. We do not provide part-time enrollment.

Our Summer Day Camp (younger age group) and Youth Adventure Camp (older age group) operate from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Early morning (7:00 – 9:00 AM) and late afternoon (4:00 – 6:00 PM) care is available at no additional cost.

Enrollees in both camps will usually have one field trip each day of the week. In addition to field trip destinations for activities like bowling, swimming, roller skating or kayaking we also use the beautiful and historic resources throughout our community including county and city parks and water attractions. Campers will be transported on field trips using our thirty (30) passenger or fifteen (15) passenger buses.

The safety of our campers is one of the key priorities of our program. During all activities, attention is focused on supervising the campers and insuring a safe recreational or instructional environment. A roster of campers is prepared and reviewed for every vehicle on every field trip. Life jackets and safety instructions are a part of every kayak outing. First aid kits are housed in all of our vehicles, in our gymnasium and classrooms and are taken on field trips.

Our staff members are seasoned summer day camp counselors with CPR and first aid certification.
