Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are always needed in most of the ministries operated by the James Island Presbyterian Foundation. Some volunteer opportunities include:

Itinerate Farmer Family Mission (seasonal | May-August)
Readers, story tellers, play games, coordinate on-site recreation, serve dinner, plan off-site field trips with children of migrant families living on John¡¦s Island.

Child Care Center/Pre-School
Readers, story tellers, play games, assist in classrooms, help supervise playground and recreational activities, help chaperone children during field trips.

After School Program
Assist children with homework, help supervise gymnasium and playground activities.

Summer Day Camps (June – August)
Assist with on-site and/or off-site recreational activities (daily field trips), assist with weekly kayak activities, help coordinate weekly service-projects, story tellers.

Closet Treasures Thrift Store
Help to sort and price donations, assist customers, operate the cash register, organize the storage rooms.
